HEIC to JPG converts photos taken on an iPhone or iPad from Apple's HEIC/HEIF format into standard JPG or PNG images. HEIC saves storage space, but Windows, many Android apps, websites and online forms can't open it, and that's when you need a JPG.
Drop one or many HEIC files and convert them in one go. The decoding runs inside your browser, so personal photos are never uploaded to a server, which isn't true of many online converters.

Tips for best results
To stop your iPhone saving HEIC in the first place, go to Settings → Camera → Formats and choose 'Most Compatible'. When you email photos from an iPhone or use AirDrop to a Mac, they are often converted automatically, but files copied over a USB cable stay in HEIC. Location data and other EXIF metadata are not copied to the converted files, which is a small privacy bonus.
Compatibility and limits
The HEIC to JPG tool works in all modern browsers, including Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and Samsung Internet, on computers, tablets and phones. Images are processed at their full original resolution. Very large photos (above about 50 megapixels) may exceed the memory limits of some mobile browsers, so if a phone struggles, try a computer or resize the image first. Your original file is never modified, because the result is saved as a new file.
Privacy: your files never leave your device
Your images are processed locally in your browser using the HTML5 canvas and WebAssembly. Photos are never uploaded, so personal pictures, ID documents and client work stay on your device. There is no account, and no copies are kept on any server.
Frequently asked questions
What is a HEIC file?
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the photo format iPhones use by default. It makes files about half the size of a JPG of similar quality.
Does converting reduce quality?
At 90% JPG quality the difference is practically invisible. Choose PNG for lossless output.
Can I convert multiple HEIC files at once?
Yes. Select as many as you like.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser.
Why is the conversion slower than other tools?
HEIC decoding is computationally heavy, and it all happens on your device. Large photos take a few seconds each.
